We are back to December
and another year goes by here!

I ask myself
what did I accomplish?

What did I achieve
in last one year..

May be I earned
few pennies more
May be I visited
few places more

May be I got
an award or two
May be I cleared
checklist of shopping todo

did I hurt anyone?

whether I apologized for hurting

Every time life hits me hard,
I bounce back much higher
with a rebound like a ball

up in the air,
higher and higher
overcoming the gravity

there is no end
to my problems;
they keep coming
one after the other
like the days and nights

but i have an undying energy
and enthusiasm;
every time, I tell life
you cant make me sad!

I challenge it,
I find new ways;
I rebel,
I succeed in my own ways

ನಮ್ ಧಣಿಗಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನ  ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಮೇಲಾಯಿತು! ಏನು? ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಪಾಪ ಅಂದರ? ರೀ, ಪಾಪ ಏನಿಲ್ಲ, ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಸ೦ಬಳ ಮತ್ತು ಕಮ್ಮಿ ಕೆಲ್ಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇರೆ ಕಂಪನಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ.

ಧಣಿಗಳು ಯಾರು ಅಂದ್ರ? ಅವರೇ ರೀ, ನಮ್ಮ ರಘು ದೇಸಾಯಿ. ಅವರು ನೋಡಕ್ಕೆ ಸಣ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇದಾರೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ಎಕರೆಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಜಮೀನಿನ ಸರದಾರ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಅವರನ್ನ  ಶಾರ್ಟ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಸ್ವೀಟ್ ಆಗಿ ಧಣಿಗಳು ಅಂತ ಕರೀತೀವಿ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಮು೦ಚೆ ಇ೦ದಾನು ಹೇಳ್ತಾನೆ ಇದ್ದೆ.

"ರೀ ರಘು, peanuts ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಕೆಲ್ಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬರ್ತೀರಾ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜಮೀನಲ್ಲೇ ಕಡಲೆ ಕಾಯಿ ಬೆಳದ್ರೆ ಆಗೋಲ್ವ?" ಅ೦ತ. ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡ್ತಿರೋ peanuts ತುಂಬಾ ಸಣ್ಣದು. ಬೇರೆ ಕಂಪನಿಲಿ high breed peanuts ಅನ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿದಾರೆ. ಹೋಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ತಿಂಗಳು. ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಮಾತಾಡ್ತಾ ಕೇಳ್ತಾರೆ,

"Anitha, Is there any vacancy in Ladies in your company?" ಅ೦ತ. ನಂಗೆ ಗಾಬರಿ ಆ ಗೊಯಿತು. ಇದೇನಪ್ಪ, ಇಲ್ಲಿರೋವರೆಗೂ ಧಣಿಗಳು ಸರೀಗೆ ಇದ್ರು. ಈಗ vacancy in ladies ಅಂತೆಲ್ಲ ಮತಾಡ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯೋರ ತರಾನೆ ಕ೦ಡಿದ್ರಲ್ಲ ನಂಗೆ ಅನ್ಕೊತ ಇದ್ದೆ. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಳೀತು, ' Is there any vacancy in Landis in your company' ಗೆ ಸ್ಪೆಲ್ಲಿಂಗ್ mistake ಆಗೋಗಿದೆ ಅ೦ತ.
